On July 25, 2019, in the beautiful setting of the Digita Academy of the University Federico II of Naples, was held the first edition of the Linux Day - Business Edition organized by NaLug - Naples Linux User Group. NaLug is now one of the most important reality engaged in the spread of free software in southern Italy, deeply rooted in the educational / academic network, NaLug offers independent study paths in which students, teachers and university professors are able to deepen their knowledge of the many opportunities offered by the many open source projects around the world. The staff of the Laila Project is committed to supporting NaLug in some of its most revolutionary initiatives because it shares its objectives and declines them both in the field of technological production and in the field of science. The Linux Day - Business Edition, for example, is a unique initiative of its kind. With the aim of presenting to a university audience some of the entrepreneurial initiatives that have placed free software at the heart of their technology, it has the merit of highlighting some of the successes of the IT world of Southern Italy. The turnout was enormous: more than 200 people attended. Among the companies that attended there was Mazer srl, the home of the project Laila - The chatbot with a human touch. The event included a presentation of the companies and a large networking space where Gianfranco Fedele, CTO of the Laila project, was involved in some of the most stimulating conversations of his career: "University students often have great curiosity and desire to go beyond the knowledge acquired in the classroom. Their questions are technical, pressing and have the gift of making the conversation stimulating and engaging," says Gianfranco Fedele who presented the Laila project at the event.
